Introducing QLogic's 12000 Series QDR InfiniBand (IB) Switch Platform
28 May 2009 – Qlogic: This marks a quantum advancement in the IB Switch market. This is the first switch platform based on our own TrueScale ASIC technology.
The family includes products ranging from fixed configuration edge switches to fully configurable, modular director class switches. The hardware and software for this platform were designed with the intent to provide a true enterprise-class solution that scales from the very small to the very large. Considerable effort was put into identifying customer use cases, and dilemmas related to cluster use, and providing robust solutions to address those issues.
