The New 8G FC host Subsystems Featuring Flexible Support of FC and SATA Drives

Following the release of 8G FC-to-SAS/SATA storage systems providing comprehensive form factor choices, Infortrend now rolls out the new F16F models (F16F-R1840 and F16F-S1840) to meet the operational demands of using FC drives in 8G FC SAN. Combining host connectivity through two 8G FC ports on each controller with sixteen enterprise-class FC drives, the F16F delivers breakthrough performance to process large amounts of data created by throughput-demanding applications. When more capacity is required, F16F systems can be connected with expansion units to realize high- performance storage scaling with FC drives and large-capacity storage scaling with SATA drives.

In addition to enhanced performance and outstanding scalability, the F16F also offers users the benefits of high availability, energy efficiency and simple management as in all EonStor G6 models.
